July 02, 2022 Let's suppose people can fillet fish into pieces without sympathy because fish seem to lack emotional expressions and voices. In contrast, a dog has a range of facial expressions and a unique voice, so we can easily sympathize with their emotional expression. I also imagine that humans might interpret some emotions from a machine's face and expressions if an android improved its facial movements and had a voice, even cries. Conceivably, some people could be hesitating to disassemble that machine. If truth be told, I scarcely believe those machines can think like human beings. Furthermore, it must be determined whether something is living or non-living depending on a cell. Perhaps we should get more connected with creatures in our everyday lives.
